Randomness - I bought two new cookbooks the other day. I freaking love these things. As soon as I got them I sat down and read them cover to cover and wanted to immediately scrap the menu plan that I had already made and grocery shopped for.
The books that I bought are both George Stella books - Real Food Real Easy and George Stella's Good Carb Family Cookbook.
I already have teo George Stella cookbooks - George Stella's Livin' Low Carb: Family Recipes Stella Style and Eating Stella Style: Low-Carb Recipes for Healthy Living and love them and use them frequently, so I kind of figured that I would love them. I'm not sure what took me so long to buy them, really. You will probably see a lot of them in the coming menu recap posts.
Anyway, this post isn't supposed to be a George Stella love fest, so I will move on.
Spring Breaking - Spring break is coming to an end. Really, that isn't a big deal to me, because the only difference is that I have to drive Christian to class. We have been sleeping way, way in this week and honestly it is throwing me off. My days seem all kinds of discombobulated and am kind of looking forward to getting back on a schedule, even if it is a half-assed schedule.
Weather - The weather has been insanely gorgeous. It was 90° yesterday and looks like it is going to stay there for a while. I'll take it!
Health - I am feeling so, so much better than I was just a few days ago. On day five of antibiotics I was convinced that they weren't working and was planning to go back to the Doctor the next day. I woke up on day six a whole new person. Hardly any pain and pressure, barely any leaky nose (sorry, TMI, I know. It was a bad sinus infection. What can I say?) and more energy than I have had since I first got sick in January.
Well being - So I am reading The Happiness Project and I have to say, so far, I love it. Not many books make an immediate impact on the way I live my life, but so far, this one has. It is amazing what a small, simple change in how you deal with and interact with other people can do for you, them and your relationship. It really is true. "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy."
So how was your week?
